Wrigley names Petrovich new chief

  • Wm. Wrigley Jr. Co. on Monday named a 30-year veteran to replace the chewing gum maker's first outside chief executive officer following its $23 billion purchase by Mars Inc. Chief Administrative Officer Dushan Petrovich, 55, was named president of Wrigley.
  • Mars's purchase of Wrigley, completed on Oct. 6., gives the combined company the largest share of the world's candy market with 14.8 percent, according to data compiled by Euromonitor International.
