The sales and marketing unit of Mars Indonesia is in Jakarta.

Located in the southern part of Jakarta, the office is accessible from a toll road, and is near a residential area, a hospital and a shopping mall. It is approximately 40 km. away from the Soekarno-Hatta International Airport.

Manufacturing Unit

The cocoa grinding plant is located in an industrial estate in Makassar, South Sulawesi, the gateway to Eastern Indonesia and the largest port in Sulawesi Province.

The plant is about 15 km. from the centre of Makassar City, and is approximately a 15-min. drive from Hasanuddin International Airport.

Formerly known as Ujung Pandang, Makassar is the capital of South Sulawesi. Sulawesi, once known as Celebes, is a wonderful island which is a little smaller than England and Scotland combined. The shape of the island is like an orchid with long and narrow peninsulas. No point of the mainland is more than 90 kms away from the sea so the island has a long coastline. Most of the lands are mountainous in nature. The combination of the long coastline and the mountainous lands effects wonderful scenery both in the shores and the highland.

The production of cocoa butter and cocoa powder commenced in 1996 to supply the internal needs of Mars Incorporated and many other customers around the world.

This world-class factory, which currently employs 124 associates (mostly locals), was the first cocoa grinding plant established in Sulawesi Province.
